[The Captain is in your home. Yes your home. He is a haggard looking man. He has one arm in a sling, having recently broken it upon entering Mayfield.
It seems The Captain is very drunk.
Any of these things are possible:
--There is an empty bottle of liquor on your living room floor. Your front door is open and he is currently searching your kitchen for a late night snack or another bottle of alcohol.
--He is laying on your couch, smelling of booze with a half empty bottle in his good hand. He is moaning and groaning about something. You hear the name Beyond and Tabitha. Again the front door is wide open.
--He is in your garage, so very lost. Knocking things over and cursing loudly as he crashes around.
--He is in your back yard arguing with your tree. He'll throw his bottle of booze at it and then get very upset over not having anymore booze.
Do as you would if any of these events happened at your house.]

No, don't think like that. Just replace it.
She nudges him towards the couch.]]
Can you make it there on your own? I need to get a few things for you.

Date: 2010-03-15 09:58 pm (UTC)[He didn't stop her he just sounded grumpy about it. He'd stumble in with her and as she asked him that he would pull free to stand. It was more a stagger than a walk as he made his way over and flopped down on the couch.]
More rum?

Date: 2010-03-15 10:03 pm (UTC)[[She puts the bucket next to him on the couch, her voice sincere and generous. There's a moment where she watches him carefully before disappearing into the kitchen. She comes back with saltine crackers and a big glass of water.]]
No more rum; you've had enough. We need to get quite a bit out of your system, all right? Have some crackers and some water, and if you need to void your stomach, the bucket's right here.

Date: 2010-03-15 10:22 pm (UTC)[Worked to get himself sitting before taking the glass and drinking the water fast.]
Who are you anyways?
[She did tell him once but that was a totally different topic and The Captain wasn't great at thinking even on his best of sober days.]

Date: 2010-03-15 10:26 pm (UTC)My name's Lisa Garland. I'm a nurse here at the hospital. Do you know what town you're currently in?

Date: 2010-03-15 10:31 pm (UTC)[Yeah, putting thoughts together was not high on his list at the moment.]
Also I can't fly and the ground ☠☠☠☠ hurts too much here.

Date: 2010-03-15 10:34 pm (UTC)[[She leans over to rub her hand over his back in a reassuring motion. Waiting for him to barf up anytime now, she's just KNOWS it's coming...please let it be in the bucket please please PLEASE let it be in the bucket...if there's a god, it'll be in the bucket and Lisa will start going to church.
Maybe.]]
Can you tell me where you woke up today? Are you having trouble with your vision at all?

Date: 2010-03-15 10:37 pm (UTC)[He mutters. He was not doing good but oddly retained the liquor in his system. That was until she continued to rub his back and he tried to open his eyes again. The room spun and he grabbed the bucket vomiting hard several types of liquor and nothing solid enough to be real food.]

Date: 2010-03-15 10:40 pm (UTC)Quickly, she moves to the kitchen and comes back with a two wet clothes, one warm and one cold. She presses the cold one to his forehead as he voids his system and places the warm one to his chin to wipe away the remains when he looks like he's done.]]
Just let it come out, it's OK. I'll clean the bucket out, just do whatever you need to do in order to feel better. Do you need the toilet?
no subject
Date: 2010-03-15 10:42 pm (UTC)[He coughed. As soon as he stopped purging long enough to do so he would nudge at her trying to stand up on his own again. The nasty taste in his mouth barely registered to the haggard Captain.]
Okay, no more leaning over... that's a problem.

Date: 2010-03-15 10:44 pm (UTC)[[She pulls the bucket closer to him, just in case.]]
Can you tell me your name? Do you know how much you drank?

Can you tell me why you're drinking so much so that you've run into a stranger's garage and made a mess of things?

Date: 2010-03-15 10:51 pm (UTC)Because the ☠☠☠☠ ground broke my ☠☠☠☠ arm.

Date: 2010-03-15 10:56 pm (UTC)Can you tell me what street you live on and your house number here in Mayfield? Here in the 1950s?
Do you have any clue why you're here or what's going on with this town? Where have you come from?
[[Lisa's ultimate role in life: being an informant. It's nice to have that back. Maybe he won't leave. Maybe.]]

Date: 2010-03-16 12:38 am (UTC)[Yeah he did not seem to have a clue. He muttered to himself incoherently before pushing up suddenly to stand. And then stumble side ways but not yet fall.]

Date: 2010-03-16 12:53 am (UTC)I'm going to let you in on what's happened and what's going on. But you have to promise not to call me crazy. You have to trust me. I'm not here to be a bitch or anything, I'm a nurse. I'm here to give you all the help you need, and once you get back on your feet we can find your new residence and you can ask questions of your new family, all right?
no subject
Date: 2010-03-16 01:03 am (UTC)No, I know what's behind this ☠☠☠☠. When I find Beyond I am going to ☠☠☠☠ murder them like a ☠☠☠☠ hero.

Date: 2010-03-16 01:19 am (UTC)I know no one here, no man or woman or pet, no organization or business, that goes by that name. I do not believe heroes would commit murder, either.
You should eat those crackers. It will really help. If you want to take a cold shower, it'll make you feel better. Just feel free.

Date: 2010-03-16 01:30 am (UTC)[[She moves to crouch down next to him, wiping his hand clean of ew ew ew vomit, and putting hers over it gently.]]
You need medical attention. I'm a nurse. You've clearly come from a very different world, but there are new rules here. If you don't know them, bad things will happen to you. If you can't tell me where you live, I'll have to make a phone call. If I make a phone call, you'll have to listen in.
If I let you go back out on the street, you won't be able to walk straight and may end up messing up your arm even more. It's rude and impolite to come into someone's home without an invitation and their turn down their hospitality.
[[Now that THAT'S out of the way.]]
You need some substance within you due to only having nothing more than alcohol, and now that your stomach is completely void and your thinking is still unclear, you need to eat something. Bread is very good for you when you've been drinking. I'll make you a sandwich, but you aren't about to leave without anything being on your stomach.
[[She smiles, tilting her head to the side.]]
Understand?
