45th Hangover - Pod-Captain [Event!]

[The Captain will greet his not!daughter, cheerful as ever, and even ask her about her classes.]


[Action | Around Town]

[The Captain is walking around, sober and cheerful. Two things you don't see every day.

He waves to people he sees.

He might also ask you about work or your families.]


[Action | The Pharmacy]

[The Captain rarely comes to work with a smile. Almost as rare as coming to work sober.

Not only that, he steps up and gets right to work. No complaints and no trying to hide in the back room.]

[Superman fighting The Captain would be a cool fight.

This is not that fight.

A very angry Captain dressed in his trench coat, sneakers, camo cargo pants and black star t-shirt is doing battle with a mockingly cheerful Mark Matthews dressed in typical Mayfield clothing.

Did I mention they are both flying. Colliding in the air with punches and kicks.]

I am going to stomp your cabbage patch ☠☠☠☠!

I'd watch your language, buddy.

There might be kids nearby that didn't force their daddies to leave and their mommies to drink.

Captain v Pod!Captain fight

(The sound of cussing gets her attention, and she looks up towards the sky to see the Captain engaging in a fight with his clone. It's really none of her business to get involved, but...

...she sighs. Taking advantage of the fact that the two of them are preoccupied, she uses cover to sneak around till she's confident of a shot. Hiding behind a car, she aims carefully, waiting for the right moment before she attempts to shoot pod!Captain in the face. Her aim isn't bad, so she'll probably hit him. Just probably not where she aimed. After that, she'll duck back under the car and wait for an opportunity to retreat. As much as she wanted to help the Captain, she knows that against his pod!Clone, she doesn't stand a chance.)

[The Captain takes advantage of the distraction and flies forward to grab his clone by the arm.

Spinning once, he chucks the guy as hard as he can, sending him into and through a tree.]

My name is The Captain! I'm a ☠☠☠☠ Super Hero.

Stay down and make this easy for me.

(It looks like The Captain's got the advantage he needs now. Smiling slightly to herself, she slips the revolver back into her purse and slowly starts to inch her way out of this place as much as she can. Hopefully she can get away...

...until she steps on a piece of paper that makes a really, really loud sound. Loud enough to give her position away.)

[The Captain notices first. He turns.]

Hey, you! Get going, this is going to be ugly.

[Uglier than him?]



[The Captain dive bombs as fast as he can, hitting the car from above moments before it reaches her. Driving it, and himself, right into the street.

The car is destroyed and somewhere in that crater is The Captain.]

(When the car comes her way, she was just about ready to roll out of the way. But then the Captain comes down and takes the car down with him. After the crash, she immediately starts running, using as much cover as she can. She holsters the shotgun she had slung across her back and readies it. She's not foolish enough to think that she'll get off so easily now, but she's going to try and lure the pod!Captain away and hope that the real Captain is still alright. If the pod!Captain decides instead to concentrate back on the Captain, she'll stop and distract him again with another revolver shot. Either way, she had invested herself too much in this fight to just leave it.)

[Pod!Captain stops when The Captain mutters and pulls himself out of the wreckage.]

☠☠☠☠...

☠☠☠☠ you, ☠☠☠☠ golf, and ☠☠☠☠ this town.

[Picking up the muffler pipe, fingers denting into the metal.]

(She's just going to keep running for now, until she's sufficiently sure that the both of them get back to fighting each other. When that happens, she'll play support to the Captain again when pod!Captain is distracted. They make enough noise for her to hear them from quite a far distance anyway, so she'll know when they've gone back to pummeling each other.)

[She'll hear the sound of metal hitting metal. A moment later that ball slams into the side walk not that far away from her.

So, The Captain should never try to join superhero baseball. At least she wasn't hit.

Now he's busy wrestling with his clone trying to force a muffler down the imposter's throat. It is not going well, though.]

(Alright, she has her chance now. She switches back to her revolver and heads back, ready to run if something happens. As she does, she aims carefully at the clone. If she can't draw blood, then the moment she gets close enough...

...she's going to unload all 6 of the shots onto the clones groin area.

Which she will proceed to now do. Eat bullets, Pod!Captain.)

[That scream is cut short though, The Captain takes advantage of situation.

He catches pod!Captain in the jaw with a right hook that could level a building.

When the clone hits the ground, still trying to struggle, The Captain gives him one more devestating kick to the head.

It doesn't kill the invunerable clone, but it knocks him right out. Pod!Captain lays still on the pavement while The Captain catches his breath.]

☠☠☠☠, I said stay down!

(When the dust settles, she carefully makes her way forward, her revolver out just in case. She breathes a sigh of relief when the only one remaining is the real Captain and quickly slips the revolver back inside her purse.)

Sir, are you alright?

[He doesn't look it, he also looks pissed.]

So, what the ☠☠☠☠ did he do to you to deserve bullets in the ☠☠☠☠?

He made some inappropriate comments to me at the pharmacy that I took offence to. And generally, I don't like people who try and kill me.
